The Wharton Success Skills Program

What is the program?

The Wharton Success Skills Program is a fall semester program that will help you build your professional skills, offered at no charge to you.

Who can participate?

All first- and second-year students at University of Hawai’i at Hilo will be enrolled in the program so long as they create an account on the University of Hawai’i at Hilo app by August 26, 2022.

What do I need to do?

You’ll watch several short (~2 minute) skill-building videos and complete activities through the University of Hawai’i at Hilo app during the program. This program requires, at most, 30 minutes of your time each week.

What will I get for participating?

You’ll earn a certificate from the Wharton School for completing the program requirements. After completion, you can include the certificate on your resumé and share with future employers.

You’ll also get points as you progress, which you could convert for a gift card worth $100 if you win a lottery.

Will I be charged for the program?

No. This program is absolutely free.

What else do I need to know?

As part of your participation in this program, identifiable data from your school records will be shared with Ready Education (the provider of the University of Hawai’i at Hilo app), who will share deidentified school record data with the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania for program evaluation.
